Stored XSS via unvalidated iframe video URL
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Odoo Community and Enterprise 15.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a visitor's browser. The Website app's legacy video loader turns the saved data-oe-expression or data-src value into an iframe src without restricting the URL to trusted video domains. A portal or other user account must post the crafted iframe definition, and the script runs only when another user visits the affected page.
