CVE-2021-44742

Memory disclosure via out-of-bounds parser read

Published Jan 14, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 21.007.20099 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to disclose memory via a crafted file. The affected parser reads past the end of an allocated memory structure, but Adobe has not identified the file format, parser component, or malformed field that triggers the over-read. The flaw also affects 20.004.30017 and earlier and 17.011.30204 and earlier; exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file.
