Application crash via crafted-file null dereference
Published Jan 14, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows attackers to crash the application through a specially crafted file. Adobe states that parsing the file dereferences a null pointer, but it does not identify the affected parser or malformed structure. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file and interrupts only that Reader process in the current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
