CVE-2021-4470Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via unsanitized syscmd

Published Nov 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 14, 2025

OS command injection in TG8 Firewall allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root through an unauthenticated HTTP request. The /admin/runphpcmd.php endpoint assigns the syscmd POST value directly to cmd_1 and passes it to PHP exec() without validation or authorization. Network access to the administrative HTTP service is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants root control of the appliance.
