Sensitive memory disclosure via MP4 buffer over-read
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Audition 14.4 and earlier and 22.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a malicious MP4 file. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer, exposing adjacent process memory. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open the file; the disclosure can reveal data useful for bypassing ASLR or chaining code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
