Information disclosure via unvalidated MOV buffer read
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Audition 14.4 and earlier and 22.0 and earlier allows attackers to disclose sensitive memory through a crafted MOV file. The MOV parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer, exposing adjacent process memory. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file; the disclosure can help bypass ASLR and supports code execution only when chained with another flaw.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
