CVE-2021-4466Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via email password injection

Published Nov 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 14, 2025

OS command injection in IPCop 2.1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via the email settings. The email.cgi handler passes the EMAIL_PW value containing shell metacharacters into test-mail system operations without neutralization. Administrative credentials and a save-and-test-mail sequence are required; commands run with the web interface privileges and allow full appliance compromise.
