Admin authentication bypass via injectable username
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Online Pre-owned/Used Car Showroom Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to bypass admin authentication. The Login.php login handler interprets an always-true condition supplied through the username parameter as SQL syntax and selects the first matching account without valid credentials. The attack requires network access to the admin login endpoint but no account or user interaction, and successful exploitation grants application administrator access.
