Authenticated script execution via media edit parameters
Published Feb 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in bloofoxCMS 0.5.1 through 0.5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via media edit requests. The admin/index.php media edit action reflects crafted file or type query values into its response without neutralizing injected HTML and JavaScript. A valid session and user interaction are required; the script runs in the site's origin and can read accessible cookies or alter displayed content.
