Remote code execution via login SQL injection
Published Jan 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Simple College Website 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through the username field on the admin login page. The login() function in admin_class.php inserts the username value into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing a UNION query to write a PHP file through MySQL INTO OUTFILE. No authentication is required, but code execution requires knowledge of the web and document roots and MySQL write permission to the chosen directory.
