Configuration theft and tampering via unsecured administration channel
Published Jan 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
An unsecured administration channel in Kalkitech SYNC devices running GPC 4.15.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter configuration files. Easyconnect transfers device configurations over that channel, allowing a downloaded file to be modified and written back to the device. Exploitation requires network access and the device IP address; configuration access can compromise device confidentiality, integrity, and operation.
