Code execution via unvalidated server-supplied URL
Published Jan 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Resource injection in ownCloud Desktop Client before 2.9.2 allows remote attackers to execute code through a server-supplied URL. The client’s server-response URL handling accepts an untrusted URL without validating it before the URL reaches a code-execution path. Exploitation requires user interaction; successful execution runs with the desktop client’s process privileges and can compromise its data and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
