Unauthenticated file read via path traversal
Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Packet Tide ExpressionEngine before 6.0.3 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files from the application server. The public report does not identify the affected endpoint or parameter; insufficient filtering lets untrusted paths escape the intended directory. No authentication is required, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of server-side file contents rather than modification or interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
