Unauthenticated crash via unchecked eb_div divisor
Published Apr 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Divide-by-zero in FIS GT.M through 7.0-000 allows remote attackers to crash the database engine via crafted input. Calls to eb_div in sr_port/eb_muldiv.c fail to validate a divisor before division, causing the process to terminate when it is zero. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is a service-interrupting crash, with no confidentiality or integrity impact.
