CVE-2021-44480Network attack vector

Remote audio eavesdropping via default SMS credentials

Published Dec 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Insecure SMS command authentication in Wokka Lokka Q50 devices through 2021-11-30 allows remote attackers to capture ambient audio. The SMS control interface accepts a shared default password and processes a callback command that makes the watch call an attacker-supplied number. The attacker must know the watch's SIM number and password; factory defaults 123456 and 523681 expose ambient conversations without user interaction.
