Subscriber-level option overwrite via unchecked AJAX parameter
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Leap13 Premium Addons for Elementor 4.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter WordPress options. The pa_dismiss_admin_notice AJAX action uses the attacker-controlled notice parameter as an option key and writes the fixed value 1 without capability, nonce, or allowlist checks. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to rename the site, enable user registration, or make the blog unusable by changing selected options.
