Code execution via crafted JT file parsing
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in Siemens JT Utilities before 13.1.1.0 and JT Open Toolkit before 11.1.1.0 allows attackers to execute code via JT files. The JTTK parser corrupts memory while processing a specially crafted JT file; Siemens has not disclosed the affected routine or invalid memory operation. Exploitation requires a user or consuming application to open the file, and code runs in the context of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
