Unauthenticated reboot via non-object GetMdAlarm parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Denial of service in Reolink RLC-410W firmware 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via HTTP. The cgiserver.cgi JSON command parser processes a GetMdAlarm parameter without first ensuring that its value is an object, causing the device to restart. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is a camera reboot rather than data disclosure or modification.
