Camera reboot via non-object GetAlarm parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via an HTTP request. The GetAlarm parser in cgiserver.cgi assumes param is a JSON object and applies the subscription operator to a string, triggering an assertion. Direct access generally requires an authenticated session; a separate authentication bypass removes that gate, and the failed process heartbeat reboots the entire camera.
