Device reboot via non-object Disconnect parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to reboot the camera. The cgiserver.cgi Disconnect parser assumes that the JSON param element is an object and applies the subscription operator to a string, triggering an assertion that stops the heartbeat and reboots the device. A valid session normally reaches this API; unauthenticated reachability requires separately exploiting the authentication bypass documented by Cisco Talos.
