Camera reboot via malformed StartZoomFocus parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to reboot the camera via an HTTP request. The cgiserver.cgi StartZoomFocus parser treats the JSON param value as an object without checking its type, so a non-object value triggers an assertion and stops the heartbeat. A valid session is required for this flaw alone, and the resulting heartbeat failure reboots the device rather than exposing or modifying data.
