Authenticated camera reboot via non-object PtzCtrl parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to reboot the camera via HTTP. The cgiserver.cgi PtzCtrl parser treats a string-valued JSON param as an object and invokes the JSON subscription operator, triggering an assertion. A valid low-privilege session is required; the failed CGI heartbeat causes the entire camera to reboot, interrupting video service.
