Camera reboot via non-object GetPtzPatrol parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via an HTTP request. The cgiserver.cgi JSON command parser passes a non-object GetPtzPatrol param to an API parser that applies object subscription, triggering an assertion. Direct access normally requires a logged-in session, but a separate authentication-bypass flaw can expose the API; the bounded result is a device reboot.
