Device reboot via non-object SetPtzSerial parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Denial of service in Reolink RLC-410W firmware 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to reboot the camera via HTTP. The SetPtzSerial parser in cgiserver.cgi treats a non-object JSON value as an object and invokes the JSON subscription operator, triggering an assertion. An authenticated API session reaches the flaw directly; chaining a separate authentication bypass removes that gate, and loss of the process heartbeat reboots the device.
