Camera reboot via non-object SetImage parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote authenticated users to reboot the camera via HTTP. The SetImage parser passes a non-object JSON value to Json::Value::operator[], whose object-type assertion terminates cgiserver.cgi and prevents its heartbeat. Direct exploitation requires a logged-in session; chaining a separate authentication-bypass flaw removes that gate, and the interruption reboots the entire camera.
