Unauthenticated reboot via SetWifi JSON type confusion
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Denial of service in Reolink RLC-410W firmware 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via an HTTP request. The cgiserver.cgi SetWifi parser assumes the JSON param value is an object and applies object subscription to a string, reaching an assertion. The request needs no authentication or user interaction; termination of cgiserver.cgi restarts the device and interrupts camera service.
