Camera reboot via unchecked JSON object assumption

Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Denial of service in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via a crafted HTTP request. The cgiserver.cgi SetCloudSchedule parser assumes the JSON param element is an object and applies the subscription operator without type validation. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is a camera reboot, not data access or modification.
