Unauthenticated camera reboot via non-object SetCrop parameter
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Denial of service in Reolink RLC-410W 3.0.0.136_20121102 allows remote attackers to reboot the camera via a crafted HTTP request. The SetCrop parameter parser treats a non-object JSON value as an object and invokes the subscription operator, triggering an assertion in cgiserver.cgi that stops its heartbeat and reboots the device. No authentication or user interaction is required; the bounded consequence is an availability-only camera reboot.
