Database query execution via makeSafe filter bypass
Published Dec 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Attendance Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries via the status parameter. The makeSafe function in admin/incFunctions.php fails to reject a backslash-and-quote sequence, allowing pageViewMembers.php to place crafted status input into an SQL statement. Access to the administrative members page and a valid session cookie are required; successful exploitation can read or alter attendance-system database records.
