Unauthenticated device information access via wx.html
Published Mar 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in WAVLINK AC1200 firmware A42W-1.27.6-20180418 allows remote attackers to access wx.html without credentials. The wx.html handler accepts a direct unauthenticated request and assigns it the device owner's friend relationship. Network access to the device web interface is sufficient to expose key device information; the public report does not establish configuration changes or code execution.
