CVE-2021-44235

OS command execution via parameterized utility methods

Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

OS command injection in utility-class methods in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP allows local users with high SAP privileges to execute arbitrary OS commands. The methods in CL_STCT_SC_EXPORT_SECSTORE and CL_STCT_SC_IMPORT_SECSTORE pass attacker-controlled parameters into operating-system command execution. Exploitation requires direct SAP system access and authorization for transaction SE24 or SE80; successful use runs commands with the application server process privileges.
