CVE-2021-44232Network attack vector

Authenticated directory traversal via file path

Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in SAP SE SAF-T Framework before SAP_FIN 617 and equivalent releases allows remote authenticated users to read server directories via SAFTN_G. The transaction performs insufficient validation of user-supplied path information, allowing directory traversal to enumerate the server filesystem. Access requires a normal authenticated SAP user; the documented impact is read-only directory and filesystem disclosure without arbitrary file overwrite, deletion, or corruption.
