CVE-2021-44231Network attack vector

Application code execution via text extraction reports

Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code injection in SAP ABAP Server and ABAP Platform Translation Tools allows attackers to execute code through text-extraction reports. Internal text-extraction reports interpret attacker-controlled report content as executable application code rather than treating it solely as text. No user interaction is required; successful injection can expose, alter, or interrupt application-managed data and behavior.
