Victim-session script execution via incomplete HTML5 detection
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in OX App Suite 7.10.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a user's session via a shared HTML5 file. The middleware's download-content detection omits specific HTML5 tags and event-handler attributes, so a file with a misleading media type is served as active content. Exploitation requires a victim to follow the shared-file link; script execution can expose session data or trigger actions through the web interface.
