Sensitive-memory disclosure via malformed MP4 parsing
Published Sep 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 22.0 and earlier and 18.4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via MP4 files. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. A victim must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the disclosure can expose memory addresses and help bypass ASLR or support a separate code-execution chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
