CVE-2021-44166Network attack vector

Account access via ignored push denial

Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Oct 22, 2024

Improper access control in Fortinet FortiToken Mobile for Android 5.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass 2FA. The external push-notification approval flow accepts a protected-system login even after the legitimate user selects Deny. Exploitation requires the user's password and an initiated push-authentication transaction, granting access to that user's protected system.
