File disclosure and SSRF via external entities
Published Nov 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in Claris FileMaker Pro and Server before 19.4.1 allows remote attackers to disclose local files and issue server-side requests. The Import Records XML parser permits external entities and external DTDs in crafted XML or Excel documents, causing resolution of attacker-chosen file and network URIs. Exploitation requires an import-capable account or auto-login exposure; opening a crafted snapshot link can also trigger client-side processing.
