Site-variable deletion via unverified cross-site POST
Published Jun 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in TheDayLightStudio Fuel CMS 1.5.0 allows remote attackers to delete site variables via a crafted POST request. The /fuel/sitevariables/delete/{id} handler accepts a state-changing POST from an authenticated browser without verifying an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated CMS user to open attacker-controlled content, after which the request deletes the selected site variable under that user's session.
