Stored XSS via unsanitized post fields
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Anchor CMS 0.12.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to steal administrator cookies via crafted post fields. The posts.php handler stores attacker-controlled title and content without neutralizing script markup before rendering it to other users. Exploitation requires a victim to load the affected post, after which script execution can expose the administrator session and enable actions available to that session.
