Arbitrary file disclosure via unchecked backup path
Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in S-Cart before 6.7.2 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read arbitrary server files. AdminBackupController concatenates the untrusted download parameter to the backup directory and previously accepted any resulting path that existed. Access to the administrative backup route is required, and successful traversal returns readable files through an HTTP download without altering them.
