User redirection to untrusted malware pages
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Open redirect in QNAP QTS, QuTS hero, and QuTScloud allows remote attackers to send users to an untrusted malware-hosting page. QNAP has not disclosed the affected request handler, URL parameter, or validation error that permits an external destination. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; the resulting navigation can expose that user to attacker-controlled malware, without reported direct modification or service interruption on the NAS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
