Arbitrary file read and overwrite via link following
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper link resolution in QNAP QTS, QuTS hero, and QuTScloud allows remote authenticated users to read or overwrite arbitrary files. File-access path resolution follows attacker-controlled links without restricting the resolved target to the intended location. Low-privileged network access is required; successful exploitation exposes file contents or overwrites files outside the intended path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
