Information disclosure via TIF buffer over-read
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.2.0.5 allows remote attackers to disclose data via a crafted TIF file. Image.dll fails to validate user-supplied TIF data before reading beyond the end of an allocated buffer, exposing information from the current process. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and the direct effect is process-data disclosure.
