Process-data disclosure via CGM parser over-read
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before 13.2.0.5 allows remote attackers to disclose process data. The VCRUNTIME140.dll CGM parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading beyond an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted CGM file or visit a malicious page, and the disclosed data can support a separate code-execution chain.
