Code execution via TIFF parser out-of-bounds write
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens JT2Go before V13.2.0.5 allows local users to execute code via a crafted TIFF file opened by a user. The Tiff_Loader.dll parser writes past an allocated structure while processing specially crafted TIFF data. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file in the application, and execution occurs in the current process context.
