Unauthenticated account access via passwordless SSO entry
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Authentication bypass in affected Welch Allyn cardiology products allows remote attackers to access provisioned AD accounts without passwords. The SSO login path accepts a manually entered account name and creates an application session without validating that account's password. The flaw is reachable only when Active Directory authentication and SSO are enabled, and the session receives every application privilege assigned to the selected account.
