Administrator-assisted template modification via optional nonce validation
Published Jul 1, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in Contact Form 7 Style 3.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify templates through a forged quick-edit request. The manage_wp_posts_be_qe_save_post() handler validates the _inline_edit nonce only when that request field is present, so omitting it bypasses the check. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to submit the forged request, and the documented consequence is unauthorized template modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
