CVE-2021-43828Network attack vector

Unauthenticated finding disclosure via predictable import paths

Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Authorization bypass in Patrowl PatrowlManager before 1.7.7 allows remote attackers to read imported finding files. The import workflow stores files beneath /media/imports in owner-ID directories with timestamp-based names, then serves guessed paths without an authorization check. No account is required; predicting both path elements permits disclosure of sensitive findings, with no reported write or service-interruption impact.
