Unauthenticated reflected XSS via unvalidated URL parameter
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Admidio before 4.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted redirect URL. The redirect.php endpoint reflects the url parameter without adequate validation, allowing attacker-controlled markup or script to enter the response. Exploitation requires a victim to request the crafted link; the resulting script runs in that victim's browser with the site's session context.
