CVE-2021-43779Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unvalidated ping address

Published Jan 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 8, 2025

OS command injection in pluginsGLPI Addressing before 2.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the ping feature. The ajax/ping.php endpoint passes the POST ip value into the operating-system ping path without first validating that it is an IP address. A logged-in GLPI account is required, and successful injection provides access to the server's underlying operating system.
